Get ready for a faith-filled, fun-packed summer at Kids of the Kingdom (KOK) Summer Camp, a partnership between Apostolic Church of God and SocialWorks!
SocialWorks was founded by Grammy-award-winning musician and humanitarian Chance the Rapper, in an effort to empower the youth through the arts, education, and civic engagement. SocialWorks has 5 initiatives that present youth the opportunity to learn and act on their passions with programming that focuses on education, mental health, homelessness, and performing and literary arts. Since 2016, SocialWorks has contributed $12M to the Chicagoland community, inspiring over 14k volunteer hours affecting over 50k youth.
Our 2025 program is designed to help children grow spiritually, socially, and creatively through an exciting mix of classes, activities, and field trips. From sports to music, mentorship to Bible lessons, every part of our camp is crafted with care to nurture the whole child. Kids of the Kingdom originated at Emerald Avenue Church of God in Chicago, Illinois in 1978 by Gladys Bennett. Mrs. Bennett became a voice for the children. Through her lineage the Bennett's have continued to exercise the goal of always giving children a voice. This baton has now been passed to Chancelor Bennett (Chance The Rapper) carries the mission, with SocialWorks, into future generations. With all the obstacles that inner city youth must overcome, exposure to the arts curriculum provides a lifeline which results in lasting improvements through their adulthood.
